02.03.2013 Kursankündigung: Introduction to Academic Writing and Presentation Skills

Im Rahmen des Qualifizierungsprogrammes der Graduiertenakademie findet vom 11. bis 13. März 2013 ein Intensiv Englisch Kurs am Sprachenzentrum der Universität Rostock statt. Eine Anmeldung ist noch bis zum 06. März 2013 möglich.

Informationen zum Kurs und zu den Anmeldeformalitäten:

This intensive course will give focused input, raise awareness regarding appropriate language, organization of content and revision/correction skills, and provide some opportunity to practise these skills.

Also, the course will provide guided access to some of the Language Centre’s e-learning modules offered via ILIAS.

Intended target group:

PhD students who wish to get an introduction to the specific features of academic presentations and standard research papers in the natural and engineering sciences and in medicine.

Date and place:                11^th – 13^th March, 9.00 am – 2 pm (5 classes 

                                          per day), Ulmenstraße 69, Haus 1, Raum 320

Maximum Number of participants: 20

Course fee: 10 € for members of the Graduate Academy and 20 € for non-members

After registration participants will be asked to complete an online placement test prior to the course. We strongly recommend doing this test, as the results may suggest a necessary adjustment of course programme and material.
