12.02.2013 Neurophilosophy Workshop, 26.-28.2.2012

Is belief a brain event? What happens when we dream? Do we have special brain cells to understand actions? Researchers and students from Rostock and Torun in Poland meet in Rostock on February, 26-28, in order to discuss philosophical issues related to neuroscience.
The workshop is organized by Ludger Jansen (Philosophy) and Lars Schwabe (Computer Science) from the University of Rostock, together with Anita Pacholik-Zurumska (Philosophy) from the Nicolaus Copernicus University (Institute for Philosophy) in Torun, Poland. The workshop takes place at August-Bebel-Straße 28, 8th floor, room 8028.
In the morning sessions, 9:00-13:00, we have presentations. The afternoons are allocated for informal discussions. As we have international guests, the workshop language will be English. Participation is free, but space is limited. Please register before the workshop by sending a short e-mail notice to ludger.jansen(at)uni-rostock.de.
