Corporate Design
Competition between institutions of higher learning at the national and international levels is on the rise and is also becoming ever more aggressive. It is high time for the University of Rostock to give itself a new, more modern look in order to be better able to withstand this competition. A look which conveys the essence of the university to the rest of the world in an up-to-date fashion. For us, that means tradition and innovation.
In the future, the University of Rostock would like to present itself as being professional and lucid, with an accent on its maritime flair. Tradition and innovation – we have both to offer. Giving the university a new outward appearance was quite a demanding task, an in-depth process involving a great deal of discussion, which we are successfully concluding with the following corporate design.
When we all implement it and fill it with life, this corporate design will substantially enhance our university's presence, credibility and recognition value, making a valuable, indispensable contribution to our competitive edge.
Working with the instructions in the Style Guide ensures clear, uniform communication and a feeling of certainty with regard to all issues of design. Along with these mandatory guidelines, we have also given thought to retaining sufficient room for flexible design possibilities. The new corporate design is not intended to be a corset, but a tailored suit that everyone will be happy to wear.
