Student clubs
Since 1974 one cannot imagine Rostock’s nightlife without it: The LT club. Generations of students celebrated and celebrate here, every week from Thursday to Saturday. While every Friday there is a special theme event, it gets going of random in the former NDR-broadcasting building, restored in 2003, on Thursday and Saturday. There is a suitable music corner for everyone. Going out on Saturdays in Rostock means going to the LT-Club! By the way: Students pay less! The drinks are affordable for students, too, and the large outdoor area invites for relaxing and provides barbecue food for hungry guests. A tip for all students: the irregularly held "Fachschaftsparties"! More information at www.lt-club.de.
M.A.U. Club is a multifunctional event centre able to host up to 900 people in a nice, centrally located place in Rostock’s city harbour. You are into handmade live music? Then you are in the right place here. LIVE CONCERTS are the main focus of our programme. There are no musical borders: From
Alternative Rock to Blues, Electro, Hip Hop, Gothic to Metal and Pop – everything can be seen and heard here. But, of course, you can also dance at discos (Indie, 80s, Gothic/EBM & Techno…)

The Studentenkeller Rostock e.V. is Rostock’s oldest student club – becoming 40 this year. This awesome medieval arch presents various kinds of parties from Tuesday to Saturday with Wednesday and its Happy Hour until 23 o'clock as a particular highlight! A must for everyone who studies in Rostock: The Trash Night! As you can see in the event calendars of Rostock’s city magazines and on our homepage, every kind of music is presented here – from Oldies over the 80s and Black to R'n'B and real Rock! The prices are very much affordable for students (0,4l Beer - 2 €, mix drinks from 3 €). And there is always something delicious on the barbecue in the courtyard.
The ST-Club is the only remaining student club in Rostock still administrated by students themselves. To be found on the Südstadt campus next to the Mechanical Engineering and Marine Technology Department, it provides evening events on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday where one can play poker or skat, watch movies, play video games or join a Fachschaftsparty. The rustic ambience invites to celebrate and party as you wish – with music for every taste.
Bunker Rostock
There are many clubs and pubs in Rostock – but only one of them is a former bomb shelter. Within these nearly 3 metres thick walls, parties take place every weekend. On Saturday night, there is Indie, Alternative or Rock. Motto parties take place every Friday (such as Gay, Fetish, Dark, Metal or EBM). From Wednesday to Saturday, always at 8 p.m., you are invited to come to the Bunker pub "Taschenmöwe". Cosy lounge corners, kicker, dart and games for rent ensure nice evenings. Films are shown here during the term periods in cooperation with the AStA of the University of Rostock.
