University sports community (HSG)
There are many different opportunities to exercise, even in competition teams, offered by the HSG which provides a multitude of offers in the field of university sports. They are also used by many staff members to keep themselves fit and enjoy physical activity.

Angler association of the University of Rostock (registered association)
The association is a member of the District Angler Association of the Hanseatic City of Rostock (KAV Rostock) and of the State Angler Association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. (LAV M-V) as well as of the Association of German sports anglers, registered association (VSDF). Currently, 35 members are registered at the association.

Die Hanseatic Racing Organisation, setzt sich aus rund 20 Studenten und Mitarbeitern der Universität Rostock zusammen. Das Ziel ist die Konstruktion und der Bau eines Fahrzeuges für die Teilnahme am Shell Eco Marathon mit möglichst geringem Energieverbrauch. Unser Ziel ist es, in den Bereichen Konstruktion und Fertigung ein Fahrzeug unter wirtschaftlichen Aspekten zu bauen, um mit einem Verbrauch von einem Liter Super Benzin eine größtmögliche Reichweite zu erlangen.
