Informatics and Electrical Engineering are of vital importance in many areas of everyday life. Modern technologies support, directly and indirectly, all technical, economic and social processes. The faculty, divided into the fields Informatics and Electrical Engineering, interlinks scientific topics on collection, processing, storage and presentation of information with those related to application and use of electronic and electrical engineering. Jointly, both areas develop “technology for people”. The faculty’s research focuses are information and communication sciences, Life Science Engineering and Bio-systems Technology, Maritime Systems and Processes, Computer Technology, Sensor Technology, Energy Conversion and Regenerative Medicine and Medical Technology.
