The theme guiding the work of this faculty is Christianity and culture. Cultural studies sorts through traditions and carries them over into social reality. The faculty takes a part in this work. Its subject area is Christianity with its traditions and scriptures, its history and future. Theological research and teaching participate in the discourse regarding orientations and values, demonstrating how significant the research programme of cultural studies is to theological questions and their relevance - as well as how the specific contribution of theology can be articulated in the context of society at large.
