Prospective students for undergraduate courses (Bachelor) should inform at www.anabin.de whether their previous education is sufficient for a direct application at a German university. Applicants with a school-leaving certificate that does not correspond to the German Abitur certificate should attend a preparatory course prior to their studies and pass an assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung) on higher education entrance qualification. Please note that there is no such preparatory course offered in Rostock. Further information on preparatory courses in Germany is provided at: www.studienkollegs.de.

The International Office of the University of Rostock will gladly advise you on which institutions to attend in order to apply successfully for studying at Rostock University.

An admission for the Studienkolleg is not an admission for the desired study course. However, applications can be made after successful completion of the Studienkolleg.

Applicants with a Bachelor degree wishing to apply for a Master study course should inform at the homepage of the relevant department about any specific admission requirements.
