25.11.2010 Historical Guided Tour for International Researchers and Doctoral Students

A historical walk through Rostock's eastern city center with a visit to the St. Mary's Church
On December 18th the Welcome Center is organising a historical guided tour through Rostock. This time we are going to see the eastern historical city center with its medieval atmosphere. All international researchers and Ph.D. students of Rostock University and all other research institutes are most welcome to participate. We will meet at the entrance of St. Mary's Church ("Marienkirche") at 2 p.m.
Our guided walk will probably last between one and two hours and will begin with a visit in the St. Mary’s Church. At the end we will all have the chance to warm ourselves up with a cup of hot wine punch at the Christmas Market and enjoy the winter evening. We strongly reccomend thick clothing.
Those of you who wish to participate please write a short confirmation to elena.popova(at)uni-rostock.de until December 10th. The guided tour is free of charge; if you want to enter St. Mary’s Church, a small donation of about one or two Euro will be required.
