Research funding
There are a large number of ways for scientists at the University of Rostock to obtain national and international funding for their research work.
ELFI
ELFI is the Servicestelle für ELektronische ForschungsförderInformationen (Service Office for Electronic Research Funding Information) in the German-speaking countries. Its database collects information on research funding, which is then presented according to specific criteria. The ELFI database is available on the Internet free of charge to all members of staff at the University of Rostock.
ELFI, a database of more than 7.300 funding programmes, is now available in an English version. In case of a request, the application reads the preferred language from the browser setting and answers the corresponding version to the user's interface. Where German is set as the user's preferred language, German is automatically used within ELFI; if English is the default preferred language, ELFI presents its English-speaking user interface.
