Research teams

A research team (RT) is a close cooperation of several outstanding scientists who process a joint research task. The research project exceeds, depending on its thematic, time and financial scope, the funding opportunities of individual promotion related to normal or priority grant programs. Grants for research teams shall provide the needed human and material resources for a medium-term close cooperation - mostly for six years. Research teams contribute to establishing new working directions in many cases.

Research teams may comprise of various modules. The relevant modules are selected according to professional aspects and, thus, may vary depending on the relevant problem, the involved disciplines and the desired structuring aspects.
