Representations and commissioners

Our employee representative committees represent the employees of the University of Rostock against their employer. This right derives from the “Personnel Representation Act of the State Mecklenburg-Vorpommern”. According to §76 of the Personnel Representation Act, different employee representative committees have to be elected for scientific and non-scientific employees at universities: the employee representative committee of the scientific staff and the employee representative committee of the non-scientific staff represent the interests of the related group of employees. They are elected by these staff members only. Thus, there are two employee representative committees for the employers of the University of Rostock.
