The university administration welcomes the Bologna process, particularly regarding the related modularisation mandate, as a chance even for smaller universities to provide solid, in some parts excellent, study offers. This applies for the University of Rostock in particular as it is a small and full-range university which is popular among students and has, with its additional technology-component, excellent conditions for offering interdisciplinary courses of study with a compact bachelor stage.
