Exams during the course of studies are important for a reliable inspection of the entire curriculum:

• (Module) examinations during the course of studies replace selective examinations (intermediate and final examinations). 
• (Module) examinations during the course of studies take place soon after the related courses / lectures and under specific examination conditions.
  
• (Module) examinations during the course of studies are held as oral or written examinations. Possible forms are: term papers, presentations, reports, project reports, excerpts, test and oral examinations. 
• Marks are awarded for these (module) examinations during the course of studies.
• The marks of the (module) examinations during the course of studies are displayed separately. 
• The marks awarded for these (module) examinations during the course of studies are included into the final mark on the university degree certificate.
• Details on the (module) examinations during the course of studies are determined in the relevant examination regulations.

As every module can be finalized with an examination during the course of study, study and examination contents can become congruent and, thus, long preparation periods for final examinations at the end of the study period can be omitted. Thus, qualification, study success and possible deficits can be determined at an early stage and continuously and managed more appropriately.
