Accreditation
Accreditation is the positive or negative decision whether the implementation and execution of a course of study fulfils minimum standards. The procedure has been established within the course of internationalisation efforts and is considered as an understood enclosure of the graded study courses.
§19 of the HRG constitutes the legal basis.
A central, interstate accreditation institution, the accreditation council, accredits the agencies and has, until recently, accredited even study courses in some cases. The accreditation council determines the accreditation requirements of agencies and study courses. It comprises of representatives of universities, states and professional practice.
