In 1967, Dr. Sabine Teichmann enrolled at the University of Rostock to study English and Slavonic sciences. While working on her doctorate in Modern English Literature, she was involved in teaching at the faculty of English and German Language and Literature Studies. In 1980, Dr. Sabine Teichmann joint the Institute of Foreign Languages to teach specialized language for students and lecturers. In 1991, she became head of the Department of Academic Affairs, comprising the registrar’s office for students, the student advisory service, fundamental issues on the study reform, continuing and distance education. Thanks to her background in university administration and science management she was involved in project acquisition and project management.

Since October 2003, Dr. Teichmann is head of the Centre for Quality Assurance in Study and Further Education .
