Theatre and stage
- Performance in the HMT atrium
Culture belongs to life and in particular to students’ life. Moreover, Rostock has, apart form its University, a University of Music and Theatre (HMT), which enriches the cultural life with a wide range of concerts and theatre productions. The Volkstheater Rostock is famous for its “Norddeutsche Philharmonie” (North German Philharmonic Orchestra). In addition to the municipal theatre and the University of Music and Theatre, Rostock is the location of many free theatres including an own student cabaret named "ROhrSTOCK".
