Enrolment
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July. Further information are provided here
Study content and objectives
The study course shall qualify its graduates to understand problems related to their subject systematically, to process them scientifically in a target-oriented way and to contribute, after autonomous induction into special tasks, also to research and development on the field of business informatics. The bachelor prepares for the consecutive master study course Business informatics.
Substantial contents of the study course are principles, methods, models and tools for implementing information and communication systems in economy and administration in a target-oriented way. For this, business information specialists need also key qualifications such as the competence to work in an interdisciplinary project team, to present and discuss working results, also in foreign languages, and good analytical and consecutive skills regarding complex, integrative approaches that are also subject of the study course.
There is an opportunity to differentiate as the students may chose between two fields of study in the professional studies part of the study course:
- The study field "Information Systems" allows gaining advanced knowledge from professional application areas in Business Informatics and related disciplines.
- The study field "Business Informatics" teaches advanced professional competences in foreign languages as well as practical experiences on international cooperation.

Study structure
Content of the basic studies (1st -3rd term)The basic study course teaches the basics for later professional specialisation. From the beginning, students will work in equal shares on the core parts of business economics and informatics and on interdisciplinary contents.

Content of the professional studies (4th -7th term)
In addition to compulsory lectures, the professional studies include focus studies where compulsory optional courses can be chosen. Thus, every student has the opportunity to set own focuses according to his/her own interests. Particularities apply, depending on the study course:
- "Information Systems": Modules can be offered in English language. Still, the needed credit points can be gained exclusively with modules offered in German language.
- "Business Informatics": The field can be chosen freely. Still, in some modules performances in English language are required.
