Enrolment
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July or if you plan to start your studies in summer term, you have to enroll between 1. December and 15. January. The application form You will find at: application form.
Admission requirements:
(1) As main admission requirement for the Master study course Business Informatics, a first job-qualifying university degree (Bachelor of Science with at least 210 credit points or comparable degree) has to be proven.
a) in the field Business informatics or
b) in the field Informatics with a share Business Sciences to an extent of 30 CP.
(2) The admission for the master study course Business Informatics at the University of Rostock is subject to the following additional conditions:
1. Applicants have to prove a passed Bachelor, Diploma or comparable examination (mark 2.5 as minimum) in the combinations stated under §2, para 1.
2. Foreign applicants have to verify sufficient German language skills. This can be proven by TestDaF, level 3 or DSH-1 or a stay in German speaking country over at least 3 years or equivalent performance. Native speakers are exempted from these verification obligations.
(3) The admission requirements have to be proven with certified copies of the related certificates enclosed to the application for admission to study in this study course. The examination board decides upon the acceptance of the proof.
Study subject and objectives
The study course aims at a deeper understanding of concepts, methods and technologies in the field of business informatics. A Master study course in business informatics shall enable the graduates to contribute to a scientific further development of their subject, to take over corresponding research and development works in industry or research institutions autonomously or to take over managerial functions.
