Enrolment Master
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July. The application form You will find at: application form.
Admission requirements:
- First job-qualifying university degree in Mathematics,
- Verification of at least 108 gained credit points (LP) in the field of mathematics and at least 24 credit points in business sciences.
- good proficiency of English; skill level B2.2 and an at least one year stay in a English-speaking country. Foreign students have to proof sufficient German language skills (DSH1)

Study subject and objectives
Objectives:
Qualifies for autonomous scientific working and for an ambitious career in business economy fields of industry, the insurance sector, a bank or research and development departments with business economic orientation.
Subject of the study course:
- Profound mathematical education
- Broad basic knowledge of business economics
- Competent work with modern computing systems
- Familiarity with language, thinking and model elaboration in business economics
Content of the study course:
The master study course is based on knowledge gained in the bachelor study course mathematics, field of study business mathematics.
During the studies, the student will take part in advanced lectures on mathematics and business sciences.
Structure of the study course:
The share of mathematic lectures in the total course program amounts to about 60%, the share of business economic and interdisciplinary lectures about 40%.
Regarding the business economic discipline, a continuation of the specialisation chosen in the bachelor study course mathematics is recommended. The same applies for business economics and economics.
A decision on one field of mathematics to be chosen as focal field has to be made until the end of the 2nd term latest. In this focal field, additional lectures have to be visited, aiming to elaborate the master thesis in the 4th term of the studies.
A practical training in a company has to be done.
