Enrolment Master
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July or if you plan to start your studies in summer term, you have to enroll between 1. December and 15. January. The application form You will find at: application form.
Admission requirements:
(1) University degree in the subject Electrical engineering, Computational Engineering, Information technology/Technical informatics or equivalent degree
(2) Access to the Master's Program in Computational Engineering at the University of Rostock is connected to the following additional entry
requirements:
1, A final note referred to university degree, which corresponds to one ECTS-ranked A, B or C degree or (if no ECTS grade is given) with a CPGA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of at least 75%.
2, good knowledge of English at the minimum level of 71% of the current TOEFL or a Cambridge English: Advanced certificate - Test or an equivalent test or successful completion in an English course. Except on proof of language proficiency are native speakers / speakers.
(3) The admission requirements according to section 2 have to be proven with certified copies of the related certificates enclosed to the application for admission to study in this study course. The examination board decides upon the acceptance of the proof. In case the Master study course is started immediately after completing the previous studies and, thus, the leaving certificate is not available before the application deadline, the admission procedure will based be on the University of Rostock’s statutes on admission for studying (URZS) in its currently valid version.
(4) In individual cases, applicants who do not meet the criteria listed under section 2 can be accepted in case they are expected to be particularly qualified for the master study course. Related matriculation applications have an enclosure (one page) that describes why the candidate has chosen this study course and considers him/herself to be qualified for it. These applications are presented to the examination board for decision. The examination board may decide to invite the applicant for a personal clarifying meeting. Admission can also be given under certain conditions.
Study course subject and objectives
You will be studying the mathematical, informational and technical fundamentals for computer-aided modeling and simulation of physical and technical systems. After two years you will be granted the degree Master of Science in Computational Engineering.
The program is geared torwards foreign and resident students.
