Subject and objectives of the study course

The study course Greek deals with Greek literatures from Homer to the Late Ancient times. Special focus is put on the history of reception of ancient Greek humanities and natural science concepts from the Middle Ages to present times. Selection and focus of these studies are very much up to the students’ own interests and initiatives.

Apart from the professional education in the narrower sense, key qualifications for various kinds of jobs are taught (new media, scientific work with modern foreign languages).
