Enrolment
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July. Further information are provided here
Study content and objectives
The bachelor study course History teaches a chronological and a systematic overview on history, ranging from ancient to modern times.
At the University of Rostock, the subject History comprises of the following five branches:
- Ancient History
- Medieval History
- Modern History
- Recent History
- Contemporary History
The Bachelor study course History combines research with critical discussion of research results and their presentation in print or digital publications. It results into job-qualifying as well as into comprehensive academic degrees. The narrower occupational field comprises of archivists, librarians and documentalists, the wider occupational field includes activities related to media, politics and cultural or economic management.
