Study subject content and objectives
The study course Music related to teaching professions has three main priorities oriented to the job outline music teacher. The musical-artistic lessons take place as private lessons or group courses, the musicological and didactical-methodological subjects are taught in lectures, seminars, projects and on excursions. Practical trainings and exercises at schools are integrated into the order of studies. In addition, students may participate, in cooperation with other institutes of the HMT, in courses on Creative play and Elementary music education.
Regular visits of concerts given by school music students enrich the student’s everyday life. The study course aims to educate future music teachers realistically and to enable them for interdisciplinary and cross-subject teaching, to illustrate scientific background and to teach practical, profession-related perspectives and implementation opportunities.
