Study subject content and objectives
The offered study course differentiates
- Teaching profession for extended secondary schools
- Teaching profession for secondary school
15 ECTS didactics maximum are added to the number of semester hours in every case.
The partial study course Physics (Astronomy included) for the teaching profession are structured into a basic course of five terms, a main course of four terms and an examination period of one term. The regular duration of the studies amounts to ten terms.
In its basic course, the teaching profession study course in the subject Physics provides basic lectures on experimental physics, practical training included. The main course offers related specified lectures, physic didactics and theoretical physics. Which lectures have to be taken during basic and main course is displayed in the study course schedule for teaching profession physics.
In general, the allocation of the planned subject-related share of the teaching profession study course can be determined by every single student who has to combine them with his/her second study subject or with all his/her study subjects (for physic or astronomy as minor subject) and the education science part of the studies. The arrangements determined by the study course schedule provide a reasonable structure from the physic perspective as many parts of the education are related to each other. In particular the order of practical and directly related lectures is widely determined by the admission requirements.
Students who do not combine this study course with mathematics have to acquire additional mathematical skill autonomously, e. g. by visiting the lecture "Mathematical auxiliaries for physics".
