Study subject and objectives
The study course Public Law investigates the essential elements of the legal system, particularly regarding the public-legal part of the legal system, its internal relationships and the research of the effects and consequences of law on the social reality.
This profile can be reached by choosing compulsory optional modules and in-depth modules which are particularly suitable for this field of occupation. It qualifies for fields of work in leading positions in politics, administration, economy and social self-organisation as well as media and educational professions.
The study course teaches profound methodical skill and those knowledge and skills on public law that qualify for jobs in policy, administration, diplomatic services, international organisations, journalism, media in total and education. Choosing a supplementing second subject (particularly recommended: political sciences, sociology, philosophy, history, linguistic communication and communication problems, linguistics and literature sciences) in combination with studying two or more languages opens up additional working opportunities.
