Application and enrolment (all Schools)

There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July. Further information are provided here

Study subject content and objectives

This study course oriented to the teaching profession shall prepare students for a scientifically based and pedagogically responsible work in sport lessons. For this purpose, scientific-theoretical courses are combined with practical-methodological courses with contents mainly referred to school sport.

The basic studies are structured into the following content complexes:1. Introductory lectures on sport sciences2. Lectures in a sport sciences discipline (obligatory)

  • Sport pedagogics, Sport psychology, Sport sociology
  • Sport motor skills, Biomechanics, Anatomy/Physiology, Sports medicine, Training science

3. Lectures on theory and practice of sport movements (compulsory or compulsory optional). The typical kinds of school sport are in the focus here, i.e. combat sport, sport games, athletics, gymnastics/dance and swimming as well as selected winter and water sports and other kinds of trend sport.

Based on the basic education, the main studies complete, intensify and enhance the sport theoretical and sport practical content of the basic studies. Compulsory optional courses are in the focus here. They enable an individual design of the study course.
