Enrolment Master
There is an admission restriction for foreign students. Thus, an application is required. It has to be submitted between 1. June and 15. July or if you plan to start your studies in summer term, you have to enroll between 1. December and 15. January. The application form You will find at: application form.
Admission requirements:
(1) A first job-qualifying university degree in the field of Visual Computing, Informatics, Business informatics, Media informatics, Computer visualistics or an analogous study course with a proof of certain credit points has to be proven as general admission requirement for the master study course Visual Computing at the University of Rostock.
(2) The following additional admission requirements have to be considered when applying for the Master study course Visual Computing:
1. The acquisition of at least 30 credit points in the field of Informatics and of at least 27 credit points in the field of Mathematics. In case of doubt, the examination board will decide on the acceptance of the proof.
2. Applicants have to prove English language skills at least on level B2 of the Common European Reference Framework or the TOEFL-testation (at least 55 %). As equivalent performances are considered mainly the following:
- successful completion of a technical language module English at least on the aforementioned level or
- a stay abroad for at least 3 years in English speaking countries.
Native speakers are exempted from the obligation to provide such a proof.
3. Foreign applicants have to proof sufficient German language skills. Proofs accepted by the University of Rostock are level DSH-1 or TestDaF-3 or an at least three year stay in a German-speaking country with a proven use of German language.

Content and objectives of the studies
Questions related to Computer Graphics are of the most exciting topics in Computer Science. The chairs Visual Computing, Computer Graphics, and Multimedia Communication offer comprehensive and profound insight into the world of Computer Graphics. Interesting and challenging topics can be investigated in bachelor or master theses.
