Teaching profession for extended secondary schools

Demand development analyses for the single schools subjects deliver the following tendencies for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Source: Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Department VII 216/2P), with the “demand subjects” and “surpluses” being indicated manly for regional schools and extended secondary schools (related to the offers of the University of Rostock):

 

Even today and presumably until 2017/18, more teachers than needed are available for teaching at extended secondary schools in the state. It is only after 2018 that an increasing demand can be expected. Still, there is a current (and continuing until 2020) particular need regarding some school subjects even in this teaching profession sector. The demand subjects are:

Informatics, Work-Business-Technology, Music, Art and Design, Social studies.


From 2020 on,  English will become an additional demand subject.

Surplus subjects are: German, Mathematics, Sport.

Self-analysis procedure cct-germany

Important: The teaching subject study course is undergoing significant changes. Based on the teacher training law adopted on 4.7.2011, structure and content of the studies will be modified step by step.

NEW: From winter term 2012/13 on, passing the self-analysis procedurewww.cct-germany.de - is obligatory requirement for enrolment as teaching student.
