Extra occupational studying at the University of Rostock
Since 1991, further education for professionals is an inherent part of the University of Rostock’s everyday academic life. People from all over Germany and other countries study in certificate courses and accredited master programmes, using the opportunity to interlink further education, job and family. Graduates from different disciplines cooperate in joint projects in three correspondence courses, Environmental protection (M.Sc.), Environment & Education (M.A.) and Media & Education (M.A.). They profit from the different perspectives of engineers, humanities scholars, pedagogues and natural scientists. Trademark of this extra occupational further education are, apart from interdisciplinarity, an excellent student-tutor-relationship and special forms of teaching and learning, tailored to the needs of working persons.
