The Faculty of Law is currently undergoing a phase of transition. Although the course of study in jurisprudence (first examination in law - "Staatsexamen") is being phased out, it is still possible to enrol in public law as a major or minor subject. An interdisciplinary postgraduate course in "International Commercial Law and International Business Administration" is also offered. The faculty's four institutes have given their networked research an interdisciplinary orientation, and their activities concentrate on the fields of environmental law, commercial law related to small and medium-size enterprises (SME), as well as medical and health law.
