What can RIH do for refugees?
Rostock International House at the University of Rostock can advise prospective students with refugee status on the options for going to a university, and can provide support with the application process. The decision on admission to a course is regulated by established processes over which Rostock International House has not control (admission procedure). There is either the option of completing a course as a visiting student for one or two semesters at the University of Rostock, or of starting a full-time course. On a full-time course, the aim in most cases is to obtain a Bachelor's or Master's degree or, where stipulated by the subject (e.g. in law, medicine or teaching), to take the state examination.
RIH (Rostock International House) offers all prospective students with certificates the option of having the certificates reviewed at one-to-one interviews and offers advice to the applicant on his or her potential education pathway.
