Studying at the University of Rostock

Has your application been accepted?

Congratulations!

What happens next?

Start by familiarising yourself with the course you are about to take and its contents. Each course has its own website, which you can find on the website for your faculty.  It is worth taking a look, as it contains all the important information about the course. You can find out more about the content of the course, get an overview of the modules you need to take and find out who to contact if you have any questions.

Once you have an initial overview of the modules you will have to take in the coming semester, it is worth taking a look at the course prospectus. This has a list of all lectures, seminars and tutorials offered during the semester. You can use it to put together your timetable. The student representatives of your department will be happy to help you.

You will also find a list of events offered specifically for new students on the homepage of your course and on the website of the Students’ Council (Fachschaftsrat).

You can find practical tips on living in Rostock here.

Network with other international students and take part in one of the many projects designed to make studying at university and life in the city easier for international students.

Do you have an idea for a new project, would you like to support others, or do you have a question about one of the projects? Then please write to us: refugees(at)uni-rostock.de.
