Special vaccination campaign of the University of Rostock at the beginning of the semester

For all students in Rostock

Rostock students can get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus during a special vaccination campaign at the beginning of the semester at various locations at the University of Rostock - on the Ulmencampus, in the main university building, in the Mensa Ulme and the Mensa Süd. The vaccination appointments will take place on eight days, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting on 5 October 2021. Those willing to be vaccinated can drop in without an appointment.

A high vaccination rate is an important building block for a study programme with as much face-to-face teaching as possible. Vaccination offers the greatest protection against Covid 19 infection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which vaccines are vaccinated?

Comirnaty (BionTech/Pfizer) and Janssen (Johnson&Johnson). With Janssen only one vaccination is necessary, with Comirnaty (BionTech) a second vaccination is necessary after 3 to 6 weeks, which must then be organised independently (via general practitioners or at the vaccination centre in Warnow Park EKZ, Rigaer Str. 5, 18107 Rostock).

Are only first or also second and third vaccinations carried out?

First and second vaccinations are carried out. The interval between the first vaccination and the second vaccination must be at least three weeks. Third vaccinations are not yet carried out.

What do I need to bring to the vaccination?

People who want to be vaccinated should bring a photo ID (driving licence, identity card, passport) and - if available - an international vaccination certificate (this is also available in pharmacies).

Can I also bring my children over 12 years old to have them vaccinated?

Vaccination of children from the age of 12 is also possible, but only with the vaccine Comirnaty (BionTech). Between the ages of 12 and 16, a parent must be present for the vaccination. From the age of 16, the presence of a parent is not necessary.

I am pregnant, can I get vaccinated?

In pregnancy, vaccination is possible after the 12th week of pregnancy and is now also recommended by the Standing Commission on Vaccination (STIKO).

I am still breastfeeding, can I get vaccinated?

Vaccination is also recommended by the STIKO during breastfeeding.

Can I also just get advice during the special vaccination campaign?

Yes, you can also get advice "only" on vaccination.
