Rostock Ocean Technology Summer School (RoOT) 2024 – Apply now

This year the RoOT Summer School of the Ocean Technology Campus Rostock will take place from July 1st to 12th in Rostock.

The focus of the third RoOT is" Automated monitoring of the abiotic habitat", targeting water column sensory systems and data assessment of seabed structures.

We invite international young professionals, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and selected Master graduates with a background or in any aspect of ocean technology or marine science. The course is free of charge and includes meals during the program as well as accommodation for external participants.

Participants from academia and industry will have the opportunity to gain many insights on various interdisciplinary aspects of ocean technology, with a special focus on activities of the Ocean Technology Campus Rostock in its fields of innovation:

  4. Open Innovation

The RoOT Summer School is held in cooperation with some of the leading national centers in ocean technology in Germany: University of Rostock (Chair of Ocean Engineering), Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde, Thünen Institute for Baltic Sea Fisheries and the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency in Rostock and funded by the Clusters for Future program of the Federal Ministery for Education and Research.
