Welcome at the International Office!

The International Office is the hub for all international exchange activities at the University of Rostock. We are responsible for coordinating international relations and developing and implementing projects and programmes with foreign partners. Other key areas of responsibility include advising and supporting foreign students and prospective students, providing study abroad advice for German students, and implementing the ERASMUS+ programme.

Registration for the language course is no longer possible.

Please note that Erasmus+ consultation hours from 24.11.2025 to 02.12.2025 are for general advice only. If you have Erasmus+ documents with you, please come before the 24^thof November or return on the 04.12.2025. Thank you!

Directions

From the main train station, take tram line 5 (towards "Mecklenburger Allee") or 6 (towards "Neuer Friedhof") out of the station tunnel towards the city center to the "Lange Straße" stop. Cross the street towards Galeria Kaufhof and walk down the Breite Straße.

After just a few minutes, you will reach the intersection of Breite Straße and Universitätsplatz (University Square). Directly in front of you, the Fountain of Joy, with its sculptures, invites you to linger. Turn right onto Kröpeliner Straße. The university's main building will now be on your left. Also on the left, just after the universoty building, is a historic building with a beautiful entrance. This is the International Office, located at Kröpeliner Straße 29. The TARGOBANK is directly opposite.
