The Office Hours of the Student Advisory Service is the first point of contact for prospective and current students on the topics of study orientation, changing courses of study and questions about the course of study. The concerns are clearly defined and, if necessary, passed on to other contacts and offers inside and outside the university.

The office hours are open, which means that no prior registration or appointment is necessary.

Information and brief advice

During this office hours, prospective students and students receive information on study orientation, changing degree programmes and questions about the course of study. It is referred to other contact persons and offers within and outside the university.

The office hours are open, but prior registration and appointment is desirable in order to avoid waiting times.

Appointments can be made during telephone consultation hours or via the ► Info-Service.

Individual advice on study orientation

After the initial contact with the Student Advisory Service, there is the opportunity for more in-depth advice. In a detailed discussion with a student advisor, the interests and inclinations of the prospective student as well as the other personal decision-making factors for choosing a course of study are worked out. Missing information is identified and help with research is provided. The aim is to enable the prospective student to make a conscious and well-founded choice of study.

The appointments are held either on site or online.

Appointments can only be made by telephone via the ► Info-Service or the first point of contact at the Student Advisory Service.

While having an appointment with one of our study counsellors we will discuss and look at interests, talents and competences you bring along. We will look on your individual characteristic traits that may lead to one decision or the other concerning your choice of study field. We will enable you to start an individual research. The aim is to encourage you  to make profound and well-considered decisions regarding your  choice of study.
