With this new format, we aim to provide all new employees with a structured and personal introduction to the University of Rostock in the future. The inaugural event will take place on 27 May 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is aimed at all colleagues who began their employment in March, April or May 2026.
The employees concerned will receive a personal invitation. The event venue is the Assembly Hall in the University Main Building.
The format has been deliberately designed as an in-person event. In addition to providing an initial introduction to the University of Rostock, the focus will also be on networking. New employees will have the opportunity to establish contacts at an early stage, get to know key contact points and exchange ideas with one another.
We are currently preparing the event intensively together with various departments. The aim is to create an informative yet engaging programme that facilitates the onboarding process and supports new colleagues as they settle into our university.
We are delighted to be able to offer this new format for the first time and to help create a successful start for our new colleagues together.
