Trust your perception

 

Inappropriate behavior, personally derogatory remarks, shouting, threats, unreasonable working conditions, or other misconduct have no place at our university. We strive to create a study, research, and work environment characterized by openness, respect, and fairness. Any form of sexual assault, abuse of power, or bullying behavior contradicts this goal.

With our survey, we would like to find out from you whether you have personally experienced these or other forms of misconduct in the context of the University of Rostock.

Your participation is important to us, regardless of whether you have had such experiences or not. You will be helping us to gather meaningful information on these very sensitive issues for our university.

In mid-November, you will receive an email from the Equal Opportunities Officer with a link to the questionnaire. It takes between 5 and 20 minutes to answer the questions, depending on the extent to which you have already been confronted with the topics covered in the survey.

We look forward to your participation in our survey by December 12, 2025.

Some additional information:

  • Your participation is, of course, voluntary and pseudonymous. We have deliberately avoided asking questions about your personal life so that no one can be identified based on their answers. You can view the data protection information here.
  • The survey will be evaluated by the Equal Opportunities Officer and her staff member. The data will be stored on university servers, treated as strictly confidential, and not passed on to third parties.
  • The results are expected to be presented within the university in spring 2026.

We have organized various events for you on the topics of sexual harassment and violence, abuse of power, and bullying. 
Our goal is to raise awareness, inform, and provide support.

The number of participants is limited for some events. Please register by the end of October at the latest by sending an email to the following address: gleichstellungsbeauftragte(at)uni-rostock.de

The costs for the events will be covered by the Equal Opportunities Officer.
