Short description of the course:
This course delves into the fundamentals of data management based on the DAMA-DMBOK framework, tailored to the needs of doctoral research. Key topics include data governance, data quality, modeling, integration, and security, with a practical and strategic focus. Students will learn to structure, manage, and utilise data effectively to enhance the quality and impact of their research projects. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, they will develop critical skills to address challenges in data handling within academic and professional contexts.

Learning outcomes:
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• understand key principles of the DAMA-DMBOK framework and their application in research;
• apply data governance, quality, and security concepts to manage research data effectively;
