Improving the admission grade with the Test for medical studies (TMS)

During the selection procedure of the university applicants can claim a bonus if they complete the Test for medical studies (Test für Medizinische Studiengänge, TMS) with a certain grade. The results will reduce the grade point average:

  • by 0.3 with a test mark of 1 (which is equal to a test value of 1.0 to 1.5),
  • by 0.2 with a test mark of 2 (which is equal to a test value of 1.6 to 2.5),
  • by 0.1 with a test mark of 3 (which is equal to a test value of 2.6 to 3.5).

The TMS is a joint venture of the University of Heidelberg and other universities. The University of Rostock delegates arrangement, organization and coordination of the test procedure to the central TMS coordination office of the medical faculty of Heidelberg. Participation in this test is optional and follows the conditions of the coordination office. Participation causes no legal relationship with the University of Rostock. The University of Rostock utilizes only the results made known to the participants through the evaluation office.
