Supporting career paths – fair, diverse and sustainable!
We support the development of the University of Rostock into a diverse, equal-opportunities, family-friendly and sustainable university where all staff and students are welcome and able to realise their full potential in an appreciative and supportive environment.
In doing so, we support researchers at all stages of qualification on their individual career paths through a range of academic staff development initiatives. Through the Career Hub, the Graduate Academy, targeted measures to support researchers and leaders, and the expansion of monitoring activities, we promote cultural change towards attractive and predictable career paths as well as diversity- and gender-sensitive structures.
Through various equality projects, we provide targeted funding and support opportunities for female students and women researchers. The Family Office offers support with questions relating to studying/working with children or caring for dependent relatives. In addition, we promote diversity through targeted activities and programmes that foster appreciation, inclusion and a sense of community.
Furthermore, we are committed to the continued development of the University of Rostock as a sustainable university. We support the integration of climate protection, biodiversity promotion and resource conservation into everyday university life. In this context, we coordinate sustainability projects, connect stakeholders and make achievements visible.
