Study programme
The University of Rostock (UR) is a comprehensive university. This means that degree programmes from all subject areas can be studied at the UR. There is a very extensive range of programmes, which are divided into the following fields of study:

- Linguistics / Humanities

Degree programmes
The degree programmes are divided into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Undergraduate degree programmes
Undergraduate degree programmes lead to a first professionally qualifying degree and can be started directly after the Abitur. The degrees depend on the academic field in which they are taken:
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Laws
- Bachelor of Education
- State Examination (Medicine)
- State Examination (Teaching Qualification)
- Magister theoligiae
Postgraduate degree programmes
Continuing degree programmes can only be started if a first degree has already been obtained. The following degrees can be obtained at the UR:
- Master of Arts
- Master of Science
- Master of Laws
- Master of Education
International degree programmes
The international degree programmes are studied in English. These include
- Computational Science and Engineering
- Computational Science International
- Electrical Engineering
- Erasmus Mundus Master EM Ship
- Medical Biotechnology
- Physics (Master)
- Culture-Ecology-Change
Double degree programmes
In addition, there is the option of taking a number of degree programmes, the first part of which can be completed in Rostock and the second at a partner university. After successfully completing the programme, you will receive a degree from both the University of Rostock and the partner university. Our double degree programmes include

- MSc Electrical Engineering with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain
- MSc Business Informatics with the State University ITMO, St. Petersburg, Russia
