Knowledge brings people together!
International Collaboration and Mobility in Research and Teaching
Student mobility and joint research are at the heart of our international collaborations. The University of Rostock currently collaborates with over 50 universities in 20 countries — a valuable foundation for exchange and innovation.
For researchers, mobility means advancing projects together, pooling resources, and working on new questions in an interdisciplinary manner. Faculty members benefit from pedagogical inspiration and insights into other university structures. Students can study at partner institutions to discover their field from new perspectives and expand their international competencies.
Generally speaking, our collaborations can be divided into three categories:
- University partnerships,
- Faculty and project partnerships,
- and Student exchange partnerships.
Faculties and institutes can also enter into bilateral agreements using their own funds.
In this way, we work together to strengthen teaching, research, and our international visibility.
Building connections through international partnerships
The International Office is the central point of contact for advice, coordination, and funding opportunities related to international cooperation projects.
