The support of early-career researchers is a central task of the University of Rostock. The University of Rostock offers early-career researchers an attractive environment with a variety of support services. The specific development goals of the University of Rostock ("Promotion of Interdisciplinarity", "Promotion of Internationality") are incorporated as focal points in personnel development and thus also in the promotion of young researchers.
The focus of the support of early-career researchers is the expansion of competencies in the four competence areas of subject and method competence (innovation, research and knowledge transfer, teaching and learning), leadership and leadership competence as well as personal and social competences. Various actors from the University of Rostock offer measures that serve the comprehensive development of personality. In addition to the expansion of competences, the promotion of young talent is aimed at transparent presentation of possible career paths within and outside the university.
