Application for Human medicine and Dentistry in the first semester of study

Application for the nationwide admission restricted courses of studies Human medicine and Dentistry in the first semester of study take place through the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (University Admissions Foundation) only. This applies to:

  • German student applicants,
  • Student applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification (regardless of nationality),
  • non-German student applicants from the EU or EEA region.

International applicants who wish to apply for the 1st subject-related semester of a degree program with nationwide admission restrictions must submit their application on time via the service agency ► UNI-ASSIST if they meet the following requirements:

  • They have not obtained a German university entrance qualification,
  • They are not from an EU or EEA member state,
  • And they have successfully completed a preparatory college (Studienkolleg).

Application periods for Human medicine and Dentistry in the first semester of study

Prospective students who acquired their university-entrance diploma before January 16th of the year they intend to begin their studies can apply from May 1st to May 31st of the year (less recent graduates).

Prospective students who acquire their university-entrance diploma after January 15th of the year apply from June 1st to July 15th of the year (recent graduates).
