Enrolment (= Matriculation) in a degree programme
With enrollment (Latin: "matriculation"), you become a student of the University of Rostock in the respective degree program. Enrollment at the University of Rostock takes place in accordance with the enrollment regulations. Personal attendance is generally not required for this process.
In addition to degree programmes with local and nationwide admission restrictions, there are also degree programmes that are unrestricted, meaning no selection procedures are conducted for the available places. All applicants who meet the admission requirements for the University of Rostock and the chosen degree programme will be accepted. The application must be submitted correctly and within the deadline, regardless of whether it is submitted at the beginning or the end of the respective deadline.
The enrollment for an unrestricted degree program for a study start in the winter semester will take place from June 1 to September 30 of the year. For a study start in the summer semester, the period is from February 1 to March 30 of the year.
For restricted degree programs, you can find the enrollment deadline in the admission letter. Please also consider any possible waiting list procedures that may apply.
