Accessible websites open up a wide range of opportunities for people with and without disabilities to participate in everyday life on their own terms.
However, the sites must be designed appropriately so that, for example, people with visual impairments are able to read them using the assistive technologies available to them.
In the case of written notices, general rulings, public-law contracts, and forms, the specific needs of the affected groups must be taken into account.
