Intercultural Trainings

Intercultural competence is of great importance for the interaction with people from different cultures. It helps react appropriately in unfamiliar situations and act competently in international contexts.

The Coordination Office for Diversity and Equal Opportunities offers since Summer Semester 2017 in cooperation with internal as well as external institutions, such as migra MV e. V., IQ Netzwerk Mecklenburg-Vorpommern intercultural trainings for different status groups at the University of Rostock.

In the trainings the participants get to know methods, exercises and theories aiming to ease their intercultural communication and raise awareness for the cultural conflict situations.

The trainings are offered both for German as well as international students, PhD students and academic staff who are interested in deepening their understanding of other cultures and improving their dealings with cultural differences.

The trainings are conducted depending on a focus group either in German or English.
