Course Description
The free programming language R offers tools for statistics and visualisation of scientific research. A large body of specialised libraries offers advanced methods, for example multivariate statistics, data base access, GIS functionalities, or linguistic analysis. In this course, you’ll be introduced to working with R, using both functionalities from base R and the tidyverse.

Information about the Lecturer
Dr. Jana Bürger is a senior researcher at the Chair of Landscape Ecology and Site Evaluation at Rostock University. She has been working with R since 2008, mainly for analysing data from large data bases and from experiments.

Registrations are welcome until March 24, 2025 via our online form. We will then determine whether the minimum number of 7 participants has been reached. Should the minimum number of participants not have been reached, the Graduate Academy reserves the right to cancel the course. Once the minimum number of participants has been reached, further registrations are possible until 2 weekdays previous to the beginning of the course, if further free places are available.
